Fisher House (QE Hospital)
Fisher House provides a “home away from home” for military patients and their families whilst receiving treatment at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Fisher House, the first of its kind in the UK, provides 18 en-suite bedrooms with shared communal facilities, a private garden and guest parking within the campus of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The development, undertaken for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham Charity and supported by the Fisher House Foundation and Help for Heroes, provides a comfortable environment where the families of injured troops can stay whilst visiting their loved ones, offering a home away from home where guests can share their experiences and unwind in a supportive, non-clinical environment.
Fisher house was officially opened by Prince Charles, the patron of the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine at the hospital, in June 2013 and has recently celebrated its 10th anniversary.
