Linden Road

This single-storey rear extension was desired to provide a new family living room, kitchen and utility space on the ground floor. Our clients sought a sensitive design to complement the character of the original property, which is set within a conservation area in the beautiful village of Bournville.

Proposals were developed with our clients to ensure the extension would tie neatly into the existing property. This was achieved through the use of well-matched materials and by maintaining the form and ridge height of the original outbuildings. The extension has a large, glazed gable which offers great views and connectivity to the garden, and the four glazed openings along the courtyard elevation are placed to match the elevation of the original outbuilding. Two new rooflights also ensure the extension is well lit and allow natural daylight deep into the plan.
