This is a 1930’s two-story dwelling located in Stoney Gate Conservation Area. The client wanted to clarify the entrance from principal approach with some landscaping, improve an out of character historical addition and add an extension to the rear for their kitchen. The proposed replacement extension is a contemporary shape and size, using a contemporary green glazed brick that are of an equivalent quality to those used in the original house, while remaining a distinct subservient addition to the original fabric.
The approachability of Adam, David, and their colleagues was very helpful for us. It was useful to have their take on our ideas-validating them or where they felt necessary challenging them. This was done in a constructive way.
