White House
The brief for this project to design a two-storey extension to the family home at the White House to provide additional accommodation for a young family. The extensions comprised a traditional gable-ended form which complemented the simple linear arrangement of the original property.
The context of the village is very traditional in nature and so the proposals we explored were modest and well considered to suit the character of the local area. However, the material and detail of project could provide a contemporary finish using materials such as the local Lyre Stone, zinc and timber.
